Ichthyofauna and the seal population
Ichthyofauna Baikal is diverse and the latest data shows 56 species and subspecies of 13 families . The taxonomic status of individual species and subspecies continues to be debated . Most species are not harvested . Many representatives are endemic . This is mainly different kinds of family shirokolobok deep . Catch (production ) aquatic biological resources in Lake Baikal in 2012 was regulated by the following regulations :

Grayling

1.
