Inventory of Russian Specially Protected Natural Reservations borders

At the present time, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia is conducting work on recording information about the boundaries of federal level SPNRs into the Unified State Register of Immovable Property (EGRN). Currently, the procedures have been followed for 43 specially protected natural reservations. Entering information into the EGRN must be made for another 175 federal level SPNRs, not counting new SPNRs, which are planned to be created by 2024 within the federal project “Preservation of Biological Diversity and Development of Ecological Tourism” of the national project “Ecology”.

“The President’s instruction on the establishment of the SPNRs borders voiced during his message on February 20, will be fulfilled,” said Dmitry Kobylkin, Head of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia pays special attention to this area. All 24 SPNRs created within the national project “Ecology” are provided with funding for cadastral registration of their borders. In 2019 the Ministry of Finance of Russia allocated additional funds for registering data in the EGRN.

The results of this work can be observed on the public Internet resource "Public Cadastral Map", where the SPNRs borders are clearly displayed.

Accurate data will solve the problems of preservation of valuable natural resources within SPNRs borders, as well as help to more effectively implement measures aimed at observing a special protection regime.
