All previously closed routes of the Olkhon cluster are again available to tourists due to the reduction of the fire hazard class in the Tazheran steppes and on the island of Olkhon to one of five possible, the press service of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Reserved Baikal Region" reported on Tuesday.

"On the island of Olkhon and in the Tagheran steppes of the Baikal National Park, the fire hazard class was reduced to one of five possible and allowed all previously closed routes of the Olkhon cluster to be opened. Thus, the two-week period of the ban on visiting several popular destinations has been completed," the report says.

Routes on the Bolshaya Baikal Trail from Listvyanka to Bolshoy Goloustny and Dry Lake, as well as on the route "Baklaniy Kamen - Buguldeika" remain closed.

The Baikal National Park was established in 1986 to preserve rare species of flora and fauna. It stretches for 470 km along the coast of Lake Baikal. This is the longest national park in Russia. Its area is 417.3 thousand hectares.
