Baikal PPM waste management project requires adjustment
The previously developed waste management project of the closed Baikal pulp and paper mill (BPPM) cannot be implemented yet, because it requires adjustments, Anton Sergeev, an official representative of the Rosgeologia, informed.
Mr. Sergeev reminded that Rosgeologiya "could not take title of the BPPM facilities to kick off the works for quite a long time", and the facilities were transferred to the state holding at the end of April.
“The preparatory work has started. However, Rosgeologiya is unable to lead more active works today, as the study of the sludge collectors showed that the planned design decisions require adjustments," Sergeyev said.

The portal has been created for FSBI ”Informational and Analytical Center for Development of Water Bodies and Associated Properties” under the special program “Protection of Lake Baikal and Socio-Economic Development of the Baikal Natural Preserve for 2012-2020.”
